Here, the client wanted to build a website to help trucking company find suitable and capable employees as well as help proficient truck drivers to find the best jobs they deserve without any complicated and prolonged hiring process. We were asked to make sure that user privacy is maintained, so, we had to ensure that the driver’s contact details were not readily available by the carriers and also if the driver rejected some job, the one who posted the job could no longer contact him.
Both trucking companies ( Carriers ) and drivers register themselves and answers few interactive questions to register their requirements in a format which is machine readable. The carriers ( trucking company ) posts their jobs along with details like job location (which they can choose from the map visually), job type,category of drivers etc. and needs to answer some basic profile match related questions regarding the job. As soon as a job gets posted, our matching algorithm automatically kicks in and evaluates the necessary job conditions and sees whether it matches with the driver’s preference and forms a score and based on the score, displays the drivers in descending order, so that carriers can see the most deserving candidates on the top avoiding any time consuming manual search. Similarly, once a new driver registers, with their side of the information, the matching algorithm automatically starts evaluating all the existing jobs against the newly registered driver’s profile. Based on various logic, the best employee profiles are matched with the most suitable carrier requirements and based on Driver’s acceptance, bidirectional communication is enabled.
