The main objective of this client (A canadian Transport integrator) was to create a robust travel management platform that is available 24x7. This gives freedom to potential visitors to book tickets anytime(as most tickets are booked outside working hours) from the comfort of their home and at the same time maximizes sales for the business. Client also wanted to give real time availability status of seats, lot of flexible journey related options and cancellation and refund options.
BinaryFolks developed this platform keeping three user perspectives in mind : Bus owners, administrator’s, and customer’s. This multi tenant application allows admins and bus owners manage destinations, publish transport routes, manage bus schedule, manage seat allocations and track ticket sales. Also, passengers can look up bus availability on specific dates and for specific routes, choose seats, select pickup and drop points and finally pay online and book the tickets. Once the tickets are booked, the journey also gets pre-populated on their calendar for easy reminder. If a customer needs to cancel the booking, they are offered partial ticket refund and once cancelled, the spot automatically opens up, giving another customer the chance to book it. Another inherent benefit of this platform is that passengers can see the other passenger’s reviews to judge the quality of service offered before they book.
